Diagnostics of Lyme disease activity using the LTT test
Lyme disease is a tick-borne illness that can lead to serious complications if not properly diagnosed and treated.
In our clinic, we offer modern diagnostics for active Lyme disease using the LTT (Lymphocyte Transformation Test), which allows for the detection of the body’s specific immune response to the presence of Borrelia bacteria. The LTT test is an advanced immunological test that analyzes the presence of certain lymphocytes. These lymphocytes are produced when the body has encountered Borrelia bacteria and is actively responding to their presence. Thanks to this, the LTT test makes it possible to distinguish between an active infection and a past one, which is crucial in the treatment of Lyme disease. The test can detect active Lyme disease even when other serological tests (e.g., ELISA, Western Blot) do not provide conclusive results.
